CORO Fellows Make Recommendations

Four CORO fellows will present their recommendations for improving utilization of diabetes self-management services on Friday, February 16, 2007, 2 PM at the Board Room of the St. Louis Area Business Health Coalition (8888 Ladue Road, Suite 250, St. Louis, MO 63124).  The fellows — Matt Budow (Potomac, MD), Yanelly Molina (New York, NY), Bryan KlopaCORO Logock (Country Club Hill, IL), and Mariola Janik (Burbank, IL) — have based their ideas on independent research and interviews with more than 40 stakeholders.  You may have been one of them.  Come hear about their fresh ideas to improve diabetes care.  Their enthusiasm and optimism is refreshing.  Your feedback is appreciated.  No need to RSVP, but if you have questions contact Matt at budow.corostl@gmail.com.

Getting Ready for Legislative Day 2007

The St. Louis Association of Diabetes Educators (SLADE) is preparing for “Legislative Day 2007” which will be held in Jefferson City on Tuesday, March 27. Novartis is sponsoring the blood pressure and glucose screening in cooperation with SLADE and the Kansas City chapter in an area under the capitol rotunda. SLADE hopes to attract the attention of legislators and their staff with free screening services and also deliver key messages about the importance of diabetes education and much, much more.
